Learning to learn (again)

This last couple of weeks have felt chaotic-good. Despite a chest infection, decorating, flat-packed furniture, and feeling like I know nothing I am still here, still excited, still ready for the years ahead.

And I had my first official supervision meeting today.

It felt good to be actually talking about what I am wanting to do, to discuss possibilities. To vocalise the dreams I’ve been dreaming for so long.

For this semester I will continue to concentrate on learning, getting my head around qualitative and quantitative, learning about ethics procedures … My other tasks are to begin formulating three research questions, and to plan an action plan – find a way to track my progress beyond notes and this blog so that I can visualise my journey.

It feels good to have goals, a plan, a deadline.

I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by.’
