Planning a journey

In 2003 when I graduated with my first degree (BA (Hons) History) I knew that someday I would want to pursue a PhD. I did my MA in Historical Research, but between parenting and finances I had to place my dream back on the shelf and write myself a different path. I occasionally looked at that shelf over the years but I knew it wasn’t the right time … yet.

In 2015 I dusted off the dream for a short while, applied for a funded PhD but wasn’t successful. I was offered supervision but it still was not the right time it seems. Newly single and in financial flux meant still waiting.

It’s now 2020, and through various synergies, connections, and colleagues who want me to succeed that dream has now been moved from the ‘to-read’ pile and I’m opening the introduction to a whole new phase of my life.
